Highway 54 blocked south of Camdenton after deadly crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of Highway 54 south of Camdenton is expected to be closed after a deadly crash on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Highway 54, near State Road AA/Old Morgan Road in southern Camden County.

One person died at the scene, according to the Troop F post.

The MoDOT traveler map shows both directions of the highway closed from Route J to the Niangua arm of the Lake of the Ozarks as of 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post at 8:30 a.m. Monday, emergency crews are on scene. The westbound lanes of Highway 54 will be closed for an unknown amount of time.
