Man seriously hurt in Camden County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 49-year-old Climax Springs man was seriously hurt after a crash in Camden County just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 1962 International Scout on Coffman Bend Dr., 1000 feet south of Holeoft Road, down a hill.

Troopers said the driver locked the brakes for an unknown reason.

The car went off the left side of the road, overturned and hit a tree, according to the report.

The man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries. The car had extensive damage.

The report states the man was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
