Mexico woman seriously hurt in ATV crash in Howard County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 31-year-old Mexico woman was seriously hurt after an ATV crash in Howard County Sunday afternoon.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old Mexico man was driving a 2017 CFMOTO ATV on private property with the woman riding as a passenger when he made a sharp left turn, causing the ATV to roll over and come to a stop on the passenger side, just before 3:30 p.m.

The woman was taken by ambulance to University Hospital with serious injuries. The man was also taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries.

The report states they were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The ATV had minor damage.
