Woman, two teens seriously hurt after Pettis County crash

Two teenagers and a woman were seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash in Pettis County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 9:19 p.m. on Route Y on Wednesday night.

Troopers said the crash happened when a 15-year-old Sedalia boy driving a 2012 Audi A4 was overtaking a 2003 Toyota Camry driven by a 24-year-old woman from Sedalia.

The report states the Audi hit the Camry, causing it to spin into the road and get hit by a 2011 BMW 328 driven by a 16-year-old from Warrensburg.

The Audi and Camry stopped off the side of the road, while the BMW went off the road and hit a tree.

All parties involved suffered serious injuries. The 24-year-old woman was flown to University Hospital. The 15-year-old boy was taken to University Hospital and the 16-year-old boy was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

All three cars were totaled.

It is unknown if any of the drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
