Bicyclist taken to the hospital after hit and run

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A bicyclist was taken to University Hospital Thursday morning, after they were involved in a hit-and-run just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Rangeline St. and E. Brown School Road.

According to Kyle Green with the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop F, they received reports that a car had hit a bicyclist and left the scene.

ABC 17 News on scene saw a Boone Health ambulance, three Columbia Police Department vehicles and a Columbia Fire Department firetruck on scene just before 7:30 a.m.

One lane was closed for about 45 minutes. Both lanes were reopened and the scene was cleared just before 8 a.m.

Information on the bicyclist's injuries was not made available.
