One dead after motorcycle crash in Audrain County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 58-year-old Middletown man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Audrain County just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states the man was riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide Special motorcycle south on Rt. W, .4 miles south of County Rd. 532, when he went off the right side of the road, came back onto it and overcorrected, throwing him from the motorcycle.

The man was pronounced dead on scene. The report states he was not wearing a helmet.

The motorcycle had minor damage.

MSHP's Troop F posted about the crash on social media just before 9 p.m., stating the road was closed.

An updated post just before 2:15 a.m. Thursday stated the road was back open.
