Man seriously injured in Audrain County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An 18-year-old Mexico man was seriously hurt after a crash in Audrain County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states the man was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado south on Highway 15 near Audrain Road 355 when he crossed the center line. A 66-year-old Mexico man driving a 2012 Ford F350 north tried to avoid hitting the Silverado and partially went off the road.

The front of the Silverado hit the left side of the F350, causing both trucks to go off the side of the road.

The 18-year-old man was taken to University Hospital by EMS with serious injuries. The 66-year-old man received minor injuries from the crash and was taken to University Hospital by a personal car.

According to the report, neither men were wearing their seatbelts. Both trucks were totaled.
