COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 58-year-old man was seriously hurt after a crash on Interstate 70 in Saline County Thursday night, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states a 58-year-old Parkville man was driving a 2017 Nissan Titan east on I-70 near the 86.6-mile marker when a 2023 Dodge Challenger driven by a 43-year-old Warsaw woman hit the back of the Nissan.

The Nissan went off the left side of the road, hit a cable barrier and flipped. The woman's car went off the right side of the road and into a ditch.

Troopers said a 58-year-old passenger in the Nissan, also from Parkville, was the only one hurt during the crash.

He was taken to University Hospital by Cooper County EMS with serious injuries. Both drivers were uninjured, according to the report.

The report states that all three people were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Nissan was totaled, while the Challenger had extensive damage.

The Saline County Sheriff's Office assisted with the crash, according to the report.
