Names released in Wednesday night Columbia standoff

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -
The two men arrested during a standoff in east Columbia had three felony warrants from three different counties between them.
Assistant police chief Paul Dickinson said the department arrested 36-year-old Antonio Watson and 38-year-old Rodney L. Hayes II during an hours-long standoff on Lambeth Drive on Wednesday night.
Online court records show Hayes has no-bond warrants in Boone and Callaway counties. Judge Stephanie Morrell issued a warrant on April 21 for Hayes' arrest for not showing up to court for an arraignment on felony charges for having a revoked or suspended license. Hayes is also on probation for a drug possession case in Callaway County, where a judge ordered a warrant for not showing up to treatment court.
Watson is in jail on a Randolph County warrant from 2023. He's accused of failing to register as a sex offender. He is being held on a $5,000 bond. Court documents in that case said Watson did not register with authorities that he was staying at an address on Fulton Street in Moberly and did not disclose two social media accounts he owned as required.
Police were called to the house on Lambeth Drive on a tip that someone with a warrant was there. Dickinson said he did not know which of the two men was the subject of the tip. Police said the person came out of the home peacefully after several hours of negotiating.
Neither man faces charges yet for the Wednesday scene. Missouri courthouses were closed on Thursday due to the Truman's birthday holiday.
