Boone County offers weekend opportunities for no-excuse absentee voting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Clerk announced that several weekend no-excuse absentee voting opportunities will pop up across Boone County starting Saturday.

Columbia's April election will have races for Mayor, Columbia Ward 4, and Columbia's Board of Education.

Weekend voting will be held on the two weekends leading up to the election. There will be one voting location open per day.

  • March 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Columbia Mall
  • March 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Douglass High School
  • April 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southern Boone Public Library and Centralia Public Library
  • April 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Columbia/Boone County Health Department

Polls are open to registered voters. All voters must bring a photo ID.

The Boone County Government Center's polls have been open since March 25 and are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Friendship Baptist Church and Woodcrest Chapel, along with the government center, will be open on election day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
