Firefighters put out small outside fire in northern Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Six Boone County Fire Protection District firefighters put out a small fire in the woods on Hickory Dr. in northern Boone County early Tuesday morning.

According to Captain Stephen McLane with the Boone County Fire Protection District, crews were dispatched to the area at 2:12 a.m. for a report of a fire in the woods. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control, according to McLane.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, according to McLane.

An ABC 17 videographer at the scene saw one ambulance, two fire safety vehicles and at least two fire engines.

The scene was cleared just after 3 a.m.
