When She Votes to host community forum Saturday

Group When She Votes will host a community "Issues and Actions" forum on Saturday to discuss current issues and connect citizens to resources on how to get involved in the community.

The event will take place at the Boone County Family Resources Building on W. Ash Street from 10 a.m. to noon.

The group will have speakers attend to talk about topics like healthcare, food insecurity and immigration. Previous forums have hosted speakers from Love Columbia and Students for Change.

When She Votes is a nonpartisan group founded in 2024 to encourage women to vote and engage with the community. The group also includes the NAACP, League of Women Voters and the City of Columbia and Boone County governments.
