Both lanes of westbound I-70 reopen after vehicle fire and crash in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Both lanes of westbound I-70 at mile-marker 125 are back open after a vehicle fire and crash in Columbia Wednesday morning.

Columbia Police Department spokesperson Jenny Hooper said the crashed involved three vehicles and injures are unknown.

Boone County Joint Communications sent out an alert just before 8 a.m. saying both westbound lanes reopened after being closed for a little over an hour.

ABC 17 News crews arrived on scene at 7 a.m. and saw three vehicles with damage along with two semi-trucks pulled over to the side along with two ambulances.

BCJC sent out an alert at 6:44 a.m. saying I-70 westbound is closed at Providence due to a vehicle fire and crash.
