Man flown to University Hospital after being hit by SUV
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Phelps County man was flown to University Hospital on Monday night after an SUV hit him on a country highway.
The 33-year-old Newburg man was walking on Route T just south of Doolittle when he was hit by a GMC Acadia driven by a 16-year-old boy, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The man suffered serious injuries.
The boy, also from Newburg, was able to drive the SUV from the scene.
Information on the victim's condition was not available Tuesday. The patrol no longer includes names in its crash reports.
