One dead, two seriously injured in Macon County crash

MACON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 in Macon County on Tuesday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7:24 p.m. when a 2020 GMC Yukon driven by Sandra Williams, 55, was backing out of a private driveway.

Then, a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country traveling northbound on Highway 63 driven by Dewayne Fraley, 53, hit Williams, according to Troopers.

Dewayne's passenger, Shirley Fraley, 79, was taken to Samaritan Hospital where she was pronounced dead, the online crash report said.

Dewayne and Williams were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

All three involved in the crash were not wearing seatbelts, Troopers reported.
