Man killed in Phelps County motorcycle crash

PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Rolla man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Phelps County on Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report, Steven MacCash, 49, was traveling eastbound on County Road 7340 at 10:04 p.m. on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he struck a deer in the road.

MacCash was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead on scene, Troopers said.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to MSHP.

This is Troop I's 6th death for the month of October.
