Israeli officials announced Thursday that the country's military had achieved one of its main war objectives -- killing the leader of Hamas' military operations.
Israel said that it had identified Yahya Sinwar after troops found his remains in rubble in northern Gaza. Sinwar was the architect of the Oct. 7, 2023, attack that killed hundreds of Israelis.
