MoDOT to host final Saturday Superintendent Talk for Rocheport Bridge
ROCHEPORT, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Missouri Department of Transportation and Lunda Construction are hosting the final Superintendent Talks meeting next Saturday for the I-70 Rocheport Bridge construction project.
The meeting will take place at 9 a.m., Oct. 19th at the A-Frame Winegarden in Rocheport.
According to MoDOT's website, October's meeting will focus on recent milestones on the bridge and the next steps in opening the eastbound bridge. The public is invited to attend, ask questions, and state any concerns.
The project plans for two bridges with three lanes in each direction, six in total.
Construction on the bridge started in Oct. of 2021 with the westbound bridge opening in June 2023. MoDOT organized the project after the bridge was rated in poor condition. It is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
