The crash happened a little before 8 a.m. on Highway 24 at Route Y in Brunswick, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report says a 2010 Kia Sportage – driven by Joshua Brown, 39, of Salisbury -- turned left into the path of a 2007 International tractor-trailer.

Two teenagers – a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy -- were seriously injured in the crash, the report says. Both of them were wearing seatbelts. They were brought to University Hospital by ambulance.
