No injuries reported after house fire in Columbia Saturday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No one was hurt after a fire broke out in the basement of a house on Sexton Rd. in Columbia Saturday morning, according to the Columbia Fire Department's Battalion Chief, Roger Mertensmeyer.

According to Mertensmeyer, fire crews were called to 107 W Sexton Rd. at 9:18 a.m. for a report of a house fire. Crews arrived four minutes later.

The fire was out within about 5 minutes, according to Mertensmeyer.

ABC 17 News saw at least three Columbia fire trucks, two Columbia fire vehicles and a Columbia Water and Light crew at the scene.
