Fire crews respond to abandoned building fire in south Columbia Tuesday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Firefighters are responding to a fire in south Columbia on Tuesday morning.

A firefighter with the Columbia Fire Department told ABC 17 News crews on scene that it appeared to be an abandoned building that caught on fire.

ABC 17 News crews arrived at the scene on Bearfield Road just after 2:30 a.m. and saw at least three CFD fire trucks and an ambulance.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
