MoDot to host Superintendent Talk meeting on Rocheport Bridge construction

ROCHEPORT, Mo. (KMIZ)

The I-70 Rocheport Bridge design-build team and MoDot will host a Superintendent Talk on Aug. 17 to update the public on the project's progress.

According to the press release for Saturday's meeting, the team plans to talk about new girders, pouring the bridge deck, and the bridge's impacts to the Katy Trail.

The project plans for two bridges going in opposite directions with three lanes.

Construction on the bridge started in Oct. of 2021 with the westbound bridge opening in June 2023. MoDot organized the project after the bridge was rated in poor condition. It is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

This meeting is reoccurring and planned for every third Saturday of the month.
