Kansas man drowns at Lake of the Ozarks

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Kansas man drowned while swimming at the Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Delphine Mwombeki, 33 of Lenexa, Kansas, was swimming in the Lake of the Ozarks at Raccoon Hollow Cove on Saturday afternoon.

The drowning report states Mwombeki entered the water from a dock at 5:45 p.m. Saturday but did not resurface.

He was not reported to be wearing a life jacket.

This is the fifth drowning reported at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2024.
