Camdenton woman seriously hurt after Camden County crash Friday night

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Camdenton woman was seriously hurt after a crash in Camden County Friday night, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash report states a 14-year-old boy from Varna Illinois, was driving an Icon Electric Car, a golf cart, with four passengers heading south on Country Ridge Dr. at the Marina Residence Dr. intersection.

The 14-year-old boy was trying to turn right onto Country Ridge Dr. but kept turning, causing the golf cart to go off the right side of the road and flipped, throwing all five passengers from the golf cart, according to the crash report.

Passenger Maureen Johnson, 54, of Camdenton was seriously hurt and taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance. Jeffrey Johnson, 59, of Camdenton suffered minor injuries from the crash and refused treatment at the scene.

The report states they were not wearing seatbelts.
