Fourth man charged with murder in 2022 McKee Street shooting

A fourth man has been accused and charged with murder in connection to a shooting on McKee St. that killed a 15-year-old girl back in February 2022.
On Friday, a grand jury indicted Daniel Ayers, 21, on charges of second-degree murder, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action, according to court documents.
According to online records, he is currently being held in the Jefferson City Correctional Center. His arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 19 at the Boone County Courthouse.
Ayers was incarcerated from July 21. 2021-Jan. 7, 2022, and has been in the Department of Corrections since Feb. 25, 2022, according to an email from DOC spokesperson Karen Pojman.
Columbia Police responded to the 1800 block of McKee St. on Feb. 19, 2022 around 12:40 a.m. for reports of shots fired. Officers arrived at the scene to find three victims with gunshot wounds, one of them being 15-year-old Aubry Doxley, who was killed.
According to previous reporting, Doxley's mother, Latoya, said Aubry was lying in her bed when the shots came through the window of the home. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Ayers and three other suspects are accused of shooting out of a car while they were driving down McKee St. the night of Doxley's murder.
Tavan Eric Williams-Patrick, Oscar Ashford, and Samarion Robins were all charged with second-degree murder, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action for their roles in the murder.
