WATCH: Columbia state representative describes Kansas City parade shooting aftermath

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

State Rep. David Tyson Smith and his daughter were among the thousands of people packed into and around Union Station on Wednesday as the parade to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs' latest Super Bowl win came to an end.

More than 20 people were shot, about half of them children, and one was killed. Three people were detained.

Tyson Smith (D-Columbia) described the scene in a live interview with ABC 17 News.
