RECALL ROUNDUP: Recalls issued for cough syrup, Ford Explorers and charcuterie meat
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Haleon Healthcare has recalled its Robitussin Cough Syrup.
The company has recalled eight shipments of the medicine due to microbial contamination.
The affected cough medicines included adult versions of "CF Max Day" and "Honey CF Max Nighttime" and have expiration dates of 2025 and 2026.
The Food and Drug Administration has not received any reports of any adverse reactions to the affected medicines.
Haleon Healthcare says you should stop using the cough syrup immediately.
Ford Explorers
Ford Motor Company has recalled 1.9 million of its Ford Explorer SUVs.
The company says a trim piece that supports the roof close to the windshield can come loose and fly off increasing the risk of a crash.
The affected vehicles are Explorers from 2011 through 2019 model years.
Federal regulators have received 164 consumer complaints but no crashes or injuries have been reported.
Ford says owners will notified starting March 13.
Besseto Charcuterie Meat
Besseto Foods has recalled 11,000 pounds of charcuterie meat.
The company issued the recall due to the risk of salmonella.
The meat was sold at Sam's Club under the Fratelli Beretta Antipasto name. The package includes pepper-coated dry salami, Italian dry salami, dry coppa and prosciutto.
At Costco, the product went by the name of Grand Beretta and includes prosciutto, sweet soppressata and dry coppa.
The Centers for Disease Control says a total of 47 illnesses in 22 states have been reported.
There have been 10 hospitalizations linked to salmonella exposure, according to federal regulators.
Consumers are urged to not eat the meat and to wash any items that may have come in contact with the affected product.
