Tipton man killed in Morgan County crash Thursday night

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Tipton man was killed in a crash in Morgan County Thursday night.

According to the Highway Patrol, Robert Loftus, 47, was driving eastbound on U.S. 50 when his 2009 Ford Focus went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, went airborne and overturned.

Loftus was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers reported Loftus was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's 4th fatality for the month of December and 48th of the year.
