Fulton man seriously injured in single-vehicle crash Monday evening

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Route UU Monday evening in Callaway County.

The crash occurred when Evan Mackey, 21, was on his way to an emergency in a 2020 Ford Explorer, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say, Mackey was going to fast on a curve when he approached a vehicle in the road, went off the side of the road and hit a ditch.

Mackey was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The 2020 Ford Explorer had extensive damage, according to the report.
