Police respond to shots fired call in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department responded to reports of shots being fired in the 2000 block of Newton Dr.

ABC 17 News crews arrived on the scene at 11:15 P.M. where they saw at least 5 police officers and a CPD K9 office on the scene.

CPD officers told ABC News that they were responding to reports of shots being fired in the area. The officer said they only found property damage, no suspect information was available at the time.

Officers were heard asking somebody to exit a house, "if there was anybody inside," for about 30 minutes.
