One man dead after crash in Gasconade County Sunday morning

GASCONADE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Berger man is dead after a crash in Gasconade County early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said on Twitter at about 2 a.m. that Troopers were investigating a single vehicle crash on MO 100 near Route J.

The crash happened when a vehicle driven by Markus Eldringhoff, 20, was traveling southbound when the vehicle crossed over into the northbound lanes.

Eldringhoff then lost control of the vehicle, went back into the southbound lanes then hit a fence and a tree.

Eldringhoff was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported.

According to online crash reports, Eldringhoff was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's 10th fatality in 2023, according to Troopers.
