JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City woman faces several charges after allegedly leading police on a vehicle chase throughout the city on Tuesday.

Larhonda Bruce, 35, was charged with resisting arrest/traffic stop by fleeing and creating a substantial risk of injury, leaving the scene of an accident, exceeding the posted speed limit by 26 miles per hour and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.

Bruce is being held without bond, according to Casenet. An arraignment hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Cole County Circuit Court.

Jefferson City police clocked Bruce going 58 mph in a 30-mph zone near the 1000 block of Jefferson Street. Police attempted to pull her over and a chase ensued throughout the city, where police say Bruce almost hit other vehicles.

Bruce lost control near the intersection of West Capitol Avenue and Broadway Street and struck a concrete median. Bruce continued going westbound and the vehicle stopped near the 400 block of West Main Street.

She got out of the vehicle and tried to run away but was taken into custody.
