SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Sedalia Police Department announced in a press release on Thursday that it arrested two people on Wednesday in relation to a porch pirate investigation.

The department said it received reports of someone stealing packages off of a front porch, according to a press release. Police said it learned more residents had packages stolen.

Police on Wednesday executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of South Harrison Street and allegedly found several packages -- still having their original boxes and labels -- that were thought to be stolen, as well as drug paraphernalia and gun accessories.

Jessica Collins and Dustin Galloway were arrested, according to the release.
