Exhibit list details evidence in Greitens family court case

An attorney for Sheena Greitens gave the court photos of her and Eric's son's face to consider in their ongoing family court case.
An exhibit list filed by Sheena Chestnut Greitens's attorney Helen Wade laid out more than 100 pieces of evidence submitted during a closed-door hearing last week at the Boone County Courthouse. The exhibit list includes photos of the child Sheena claims Eric abused in 2019.
The exhibits themselves were not publicly available, but give a glimpse into the ongoing dispute over where to continue the couple's family court case. The case has played out in Boone County in the months before the August 2 primary, where Eric Greitens is seeking the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate. Sheena Greitens requested the case, which oversees the terms of the couple's 2020 divorce and child custody arrangements, be moved to Travis County, Texas, where she now lives. Eric Greitens, the state's former governor, has asked the case stay in Boone County.
The exhibit in question only refers to photos of the child's "face, lip, tooth with text messages November, 2021 & photos of abscess May 2020." In a separate affidavit filed in March, Sheena Greitens claimed the child came home from a visit with his father in November 2019 with a "swollen face, bleeding gum and loose tooth." She said child told her that Eric had hit him, but that Eric later told her the child and his brother had been roughhousing.
Eric's attorney Gary Stamper wrote in an April reply brief that doctors that looked at the tooth and lip never brought up abuse. A doctor visit in May 2020 to look at the abscess "drained a bit of pus when pushed," but that there were "no signs of trauma or injury." The tooth was eventually removed.
"At no time during any medical visit did [Sheena] mention or allege that [Eric] had abused [the child]," Stamper wrote.
Wade's exhibit list also contains several campaign emails Eric Greitens sent after Sheena's first affidavit in March. Those include emails in which Eric has claimed political operatives working against him helped craft Sheena's affidavit, which Wade has called untrue.
An exhibit list filed by Stamper on July 12 also includes photos of the child's tooth and a doctor visit history.
Judge Leslie Schneider previously ordered on July 20 that each side submit "additional evidence" within 15 days. A ruling on moving the case is expected sometime after the primary election.
