SATURDAY UPDATES: More than 27 percent of Missourians have started vaccination process
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 327 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 490,648 throughout the pandemic.
The state's 7-day positivity rate is currently at 4.4 percent.
The state also reported 5 news deaths due to the virus. Since the start of the pandemic, 8,504 deaths have been reported because of COVID-19. The state's dashboard's metric monitoring deaths is currently down, making so maps and graphics unavailable.
In Missouri, 763 people are hospitalized because of COVID-19. of those, 117 are in the ICU and 86 are on ventilators.
Vaccinations continue across the state. The state reported Saturday 1,683,011 people have started the vaccination process. That is about 27.4 percent of the population.
Of those, 1,034,982 Missourians have completed the vaccine process. That equals about 16.9 percent of the population.
In Missouri, 2,658,351 doses have been given out.
