Electricity restored in Rocheport after tree falls on power lines

ROCHEPORT, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone Electric Cooperative said the town of Rocheport had no power Tuesday morning after a tree fell on some power lines.

As of 2 p.m., the electric cooperative's outage map said power had been restored to the area.

A tweet from the electric provider said crews have started restoring power before noon. Crews did not immediately say what caused the tree to fall down. In an update at about 1 p.m. the utility said power had been restored to 70 meters and 118 meters were still without power.

At the height of the outage, 191 customers in the town had no electricity.
