St. Louis man charged with July assault in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A St. Louis is charged with assaulting a person back in July.

According to court documents, Christopher Henderson was visiting Columbia and assaulted the victim by punching the victim multiple times, choking the victim and hitting the victim's face with the butt of the gun.

Police report the victim's face was badly bruised as well as multiple areas of bruising on the arms and upper body of the victim.

Online court filings report Henderson wasn't served a warrant till Thursday after he was transported from St. Louis.

Henderson is charged with 1st-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and 2nd-degree domestic assault.

Henderson's next court date is next Wednesday and then has a following one on Jan. 20.
