Warrant issued in child molestation case out of Callaway County

Auxvasse Police has issued a warrant for the arrest of Steven Muehlman after allegations of 1st-degree child molestation and statutory sodomy of a person under the age of 12.

According to court documents, an investigation into Muehlman started on Dec. 14 after the victim's mother came forward about Muehlman allegedly touched the victim inappropriately.

During the investigation, the victim told police and a childrens services representative that Muehlman touched her inappropriately and that the victim was made to take off her clothes in front of Muehlman according to court documents.

The victim also told investigators Muehlman also allegedly assaulted the victim in the bedroom and in a car according to court documents.
