Nobody hurt after bullet goes through bedroom in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police have a street blocked off and are currently investigating after a shooting in North Columbia early Saturday morning.

CPD says nobody was hurt after at least two shooters exchanged gunfire near Bodie Dr. and Edenton Blvd. around 12:30 a.m.

CPD blocked off Bodie Dr. around 1 a.m. to search the area.

Officers responded to a call for shots heard near the 1400 block of Bodie Dr. around 12:30. Upon arrival, officers confirmed there was a shooting and property damage in the area.

Our crews said they saw at least 10 evidence markers laid out on the street and multiple CPD vehicles in the area.

No injuries were reported. However, officers found evidence that a bullet went through a bedroom on Bodie Dr. Officers say there were people inside at the time but nobody was hit.

Police say they believe there were at least two shooters.

Neighbors provided officers security camera footage of the area at the time of the shooting.

No suspect or vehicle description has been identified at this time.
