Columbia woman accused of trying to mail drugs into Boone County Jail
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia woman was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly trying to mail drugs into the Boone County Jail earlier this month.
According to the probable cause statement, Boone County Jail staff intercepted two strips of Suboxone in the mail for someone in custody. Suboxone is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance.
In the probable cause statment, a Boone County Sheriff's deputy says that through jail phone recordings Matyia LaCole Tucker were using code words while discussing the drugs and their ability to sell or trade the drugs within the jail.
According to online court records, Tucker is charged with delivery of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.
Tucker has a $200,000 cash only bond.
