Morgan County man arrested in Camden County after disturbance, biting officer
CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Camden County Sheriff's Department arrested a Gravois Mills man after responding to a disturbance at Shady Gators Bar early Sunday morning.
According to the Camden County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement, several security officers were with the subject that was being detained by the roadway when the deputy arrived.
In the probable cause statement, the subject was being escorted off the property when he allegedly grabbed a security officer's throat and began choking him. That is when other security officers helped the victm and placed the subject in handcuffs. The deputy then put the subject into the back of the vehicle while investigating before interviewing the security officers.
The deputy then attempted to buckle the subject into the vehicle but the subject bit the forearm of the deputy according to probable cause statement. The deputy then tased the subject to get him to stop biting according to the probable cause statement.
According to the Camden County Sheriff's Department release, the suspect, Anthony L Magin, 25, of Gravois Mills, allegedly bit a deputy during the incident.
Magin was taken into custody without any further incident and transported to the Camden County Sheriffs Jail according to the release.
The deputy was treated for his wounds and released from medical according to the probable cause statement.
Magin is charged with Felony 1st Degree Assault on a Law Officer and Misdemeanor 3rd Degree assault according to court documents.
According to court documents, Magin was denied bond and remains at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
