Animals seized during animal cruelty investigation in CamdenCounty

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

On Wednesday, Camdenton County Sheriff's deputies responded to an animal control call in the Climax Springs area.

When deputies arrived, deputies reportedly found multiple animals without food or water and in poor medical condition.

A deputy told ABC 17 News, “There were over 100 animals on property.”

During the investigation, deputies found multiple dead animals including "chickens, ducks and larger animals."

Officials say the owner was out of the area but was able to locate them.

Deputies were able to locate the owner from out of the area and the remaining animals were given to the Humane Society.

Officials say charges are pending on the owners of the animals at this time.
