The Heat is On

SUNDAY: A few leftover storms from last night’s system will linger into the morning hours, especially north of I-70 but should dry up before noon. Once the clouds break up and the sun comes out, the heat will crank up along with the humidity. Winds will be coming out of the south to aid in the heating into the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 80’s with the heat index being in the low 90’s.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Staying partly cloudy and warm overnight with a low around 70 degrees.

EXTENDED: The heat and humidity sticks with us through the first half of the work week but then a cold front will move through the area on Wednesday, bringing along more chances for showers and thunderstorms, and will follow up with much cooler temperatures with low dipping down into the lower 50’s by the weekend.
