Update: Sedalia Police identify the bodies found Thursday morning

UPDATE 3:08 P.M.: Local law enforcement has identified 66-year-old Steven Klein and 59-year-old Russell Bain, both of Sedalia, as the bodies that were found Thursday morning.

The Rural Missouri Major Case Squad was brought in to help investigate the two deaths after the men's bodies were found Thursday on the 1700 block of S. Harrison Ave.

Officials say over 30 investigators from central Missouri agencies were brought in to investigate the deaths.

The Rural Missouri Major Case Squad is activated for up to four days and possibly more if time is needed.

Sedalia Police continue to investigate two suspicious deaths after bodies were found on the 1700 block of S. Harrison Ave.

Officials say police responded after 10 a.m. to a location in central Sedalia.

Officials say local law enforcement began the investigation by searching for evidence and determining the manner of death of the two victims.

The victim’s names are not being released due to identification and notification to the next of kin.
