Missouri State Fair attendance hits six-year high

Attendance at the Missouri State Fair has exceeded pre-pandemic levels.
The state fair – which was held Aug. 10-20 in Sedalia – brought 349,048 attendees this year, according to data provided by a fair spokesperson. The number of entrants was higher than any other year since at least 2018.
The turnout from recent years includes:
- 2022 – 340,031
- 2021 – 330,125
- 2020 – no attendance recorded (youth livestock show only)
- 2019 – 337,112
- 2018 – 340,957
According to data provided by the fair, Saturdays were the best-attended days this year, with Aug. 12 bringing in 49,226 and Aug. 19 totaling 45,172.
