A Fulton man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle crash early Wednesday.
Riley Pipes, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Osage County Road 807 by the county coroner, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports. The crash happened when a 2007 Jeep Wrangler driven by Nathan Timpe, 20, of Centralia, went off the road, rolled and hit three trees at about 1 a.m., the report says.
Pipes, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the Jeep.
The Osage County Sheriff's Office says the driver was treated at the scene and taken to jail. No charges had been filed Wednesday afternoon.
Three other people in the Jeep were injured: Braden Halter, 18, of Cape Girardeau, suffered serious injuries; Kyle Burris, 20, of St. Peters, Missouri, suffered minor injuries; and Jacob Stoner, 20, of Congerville, Illinois, suffered moderate injuries, the Patrol says. All three were wearing seat belts.
Halter was flown to University Hospital by helicopter. A condition update wasn't immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
