AUSTIN, Tx. (AP)

Police in a suburb of Austin, Texas, say three officers have been shot and a man remains barricaded inside a home with at least one of his family members.

The Cedar Park Police Department tweeted at 8:07 a.m. that two of the hostages were released. Police said one hostage and the shooter were still inside the home.

Interim Police Chief Mike Harmon said during a news conference that officers were responding to a call Sunday around 3 p.m. at a residence when they were shot at.

The officers are in stable condition at a local hospital. It is unclear if the suspect was injured.

The mother, a juvenile and another person, whose age was unknown, were held in the home by the suspect at one time. As of Monday morning, it's unclear which person was still being held hostage.
