I-70 tractor-trailer fire closes westbound lanes in Montgomery County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A tractor-trailer fire shut down westbound Interstate 70 in Montgomery County on Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said at about 11:30 a.m. that the fire was extinguished and crews were working to move the tractor-trailer from the interstate. The road was closed east of the New Florence/Hermann exit.

It wasn't clear how long the closure would last.
