Missing Montgomery County man with dementia found

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: Authorities said at about 11:30 a.m. that the man had been found safe in Jonesburg.

ORIGINAL: The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department asked for help Thursday to find a missing man with dementia.

The department issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for John Olds, who was last seen at 710 Highway 47 in the Jonesburg area at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Olds got into an argument with his son and left on foot, according to the advisory.

He could be on his way to the St. Louis area on foot.

Olds is white, age 66, 5 feet 9 inches tall with gray hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a Carhartt coat and overalls.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the sheriff's department at 573-564-3378.
