COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A New Florence woman was hurt Wednesday night when her SUV went off the road on Highway 94.

Sherry Hug, 49, was driving her Chevrolet Trailblazer on Highway 94 near Route P when she went off the road and hit a road sign, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The vehicle hit the bank of a drainage ditch then went airborne and hit the other side of the ditch, causing it to overturn, the patrol reported.

Hug was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.

Hug was in fair condition Thursday afternoon, an MU Health Care spokesman said.
